How to deal with new emission regulation systems?

Target group:

• Engineers who maintain and repair internal combustion engines.
• Engineers who perform diagnostics on machines with internal combustion engines.

Prior knowledge:

• Prior knowledge of new diesel technology is required, in particular knowledge of common rail diesel engines.

Learning objectives & Content:

• How does the combustion process work in a diesel engine?
• How are harmful emissions already being reduced by improving internal systems?
• How does an EGR system work?
• What is a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst and how does it work?
• What is a Diesel Particle Filter and how does it work?
• What is Selective Catalyst Reduction and how does it work?

Purpose of the training:

• Understand how emission enhancement systems work and how to use them.

Course duration and location:

• One and a half hours, via Google Meet

Practical arrangements:

• We recommend having a Google account and using Google Chrome.
• Each participant must be registered, even if several people follow on one PC.
