The answer is obvious: no. Coolant consists of an additive mixed with water. This additive is usually composed of ethylene glycol or propylene glycol. These ingredients ensure that the coolant remains in liquid form under extreme temperatures. Why is this important? A lot of heat is created when the engine is running.
