TVH is seeking a self motivated, process oriented, Inside Sales Supervisor to develop and foster effective customer relationships and sales opportunities at our Americas headquarters in Olathe, KS as a Business Development Manager for Superior Signals.  In this role, you will set the direction of all business segments for Sales and Business Development activities and work closely with the SSI Sales Manager and VP, Sales in planning future SSI growth and profitability in the US and Canada.

 

As our Business Development Manager, you'll focus on these essential functions

  • Research, analyze and develop industry segments to target and assist in planning and reviewing new marketing initiatives.
  • Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships and increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners and evaluates options and resolves internal priorities.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Enhances organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
  • Work with Regional Sales Managers to create business plans per territory, train and help develop newly hired Regional Sales Managers and track individual contributors and their accomplishments
  • Research and document market trends, pricing, and new product of competitors and inform staff accordingly.
  • Participation and support of new product development strategies with marketing and product development.

  • Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university or a minimum of four years work experience performing substantially similar essential functions or an equivalent combination of education and experience plus a proven business development track record with three years substantially similar work experience. 
  • Demonstrates advanced proficiency in navigating a business ERP system.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% .

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will manage a sales territory through developing and foster effective sales relationships and opportunities in assigned geographic territory in concert with overall company sales and marketing objectives.

 

You will focus on these essential functions

  • Manage assigned sales territory to achieve sales objectives including developing building and foster effective customer relationships and sales opportunities
  • Contact existing and prospective customers in person and via phone on a regular and consistent basis to develop and build strong relationships with key personnel within target customer base and present all appropriate global products and services
  • Obtain and submit orders, establish new accounts and service existing accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule and referring to price lists, promotions, product literature and special quotations
  • Train customer staff on use of SSI website and other sales tools features and functions
  • Work to gather and use competitive market information to create sales opportunities and customer relationships
  • Develop low value customers and develops new or inactive customer accounts

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year college or university or a minimum of four years work experience in Inside or Outside Sales

  • In addition to educational requirement, must possess a minimum of five years’ work experience performing a substantially similar role
  • Must demonstrates a proven track record in providing exemplary customer service and consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrates proficient understanding of the industrial lighting industry, parts, customers, suppliers and vendors
  • Demonstrates a proven track record in customer relationship development and maintenance and meeting inside sales objectives and goals through effective customer relationship development
  • Demonstrates proficient understanding and demonstrating sales techniques including cold calling, customer qualification and customer acquisition
  • Sales experience in vehicle safety lighting and traffic control products
