In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, TVH in the Americas (TVH), decided to take action as a company and hold two employee events to support the cause. The first was the “Pinked Out” event where employees wore pink and paid for one of the executives to wear a pink body suit for the day. The second was a companywide bake sale where employees provided hundreds of treats and goodies for sale.

Both events were a great success. TVH employees raised over $2,900 and with the company match the total raised for the Susan G. Komen Foundation was over $5,800. TVH’s involvement with the Susan G. Komen Foundation is part of its ongoing corporate initiative to give back to the communities in which its employees work and live.

“Breast cancer awareness is an important issue for many of our employees and throughout the communities we serve,” said Els Thermote, Chief Executive Officer of TVH.  “We are honored to show our continued support for the cause and hope that our contribution will help the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s mission to fight this disease.”

The Susan G. Komen Foundation is the global leader of the breast cancer research and prevention movement and has invested more than 2.6 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 30 countries.
