The Nudge Towards Wellness

At the heart of TVH's wellness success is the Nudge Program: a holistic approach to employee well-being, guided by pillars such as physical fitness, mental health, and community involvement. Lucy DelSarto, TVH’s Health & Wellness Coach, plays a pivotal role in leading wellness initiatives through the Nudge Program, ensuring employees have access to activities and education that promote long-term well-being. "The Nudge Program is about planting seeds to nurture and empower the wellness mindset and lifestyle," said DelSarto. "If someone were to ask me what my biggest success has been, I would say ‘seeing the success of others.’ Whether that success looks like getting more active by joining our quarterly walking challenges, starting to garden as part of the garden challenge, or just making lifestyle changes after watching a Nudge Guest Speaker video chat. The Healthy KC Award recognizes TVH and allows other companies to learn how to start or improve a company's wellness program.”

The Healthy KC Workplace Wellness Certification program is based on the World Health Organization’s Healthy Workplaces Framework and assesses businesses across five key areas: Core Wellness, Personal Health Resources, Psychosocial Work Environment, Community Involvement, and Work Environment. TVH's sustained success in achieving platinum status across these pillars highlights the company's commitment to a comprehensive wellness strategy that benefits both employees and the broader community.
