Keep Your Floors Spot and Streak-Free with Squeegee Blades from TVH

Are you seeing water spots or streaks behind your scrubber? Sounds like it’s time to replace your floor squeegees. When your scrubber is working correctly and your squeegees are new, the only thing that should be left behind is a clean floor. Over time, when the rear squeegee starts to fail, your clean floor will have wet areas that can be a hazard to pedestrians. The rear squeegee is made up of two blades, the inside rear blade, and the outside rear blade. As the squeegee starts to wear, you will notice a few key indicators that signal the need to replace these blades.

The inside rear blade has notches in the rubber where it touches the floor to allow dirty water and solution to enter the vacuum chamber. If pieces are missing or the rubber is not strong, there will be diminished suction in the chamber, and you will see a wet floor. The outside rear blade is the end-all-be-all of the cleaning process, so it is important to have a firm blade with sharp edges touching the floor. When the dirty water and solution reach this blade, they are sucked back into the scrubber. On a blade with warped or beveled edges, the vacuum chamber will not have the suction required to remove the dirty water and solution. That is why it is imperative to replace one or both of the rear squeegee blades when you start to experience wet floors.

TVH offers squeegees and squeegee kits made with high-quality materials that fit all major floor cleaning equipment models. Our custom manufactured squeegees go through an extensive quality audit during the manufacturing process. Currently, we use over 90 raw materials to produce squeegees made of urethane, red and tan gum rubber, neoprene and neoprene blends, and other materials.

With so many materials to choose from, it can be hard to decide which one is best for you. Gum rubber squeegees are great for smooth or tiled surfaces and ensure maximum water collection to leave surfaces dry and safe for pedestrians. The neoprene squeegees are the most durable of all rubber squeegees in oily and dirty situations. Neoprene can even be used on uneven concrete with abrasive materials. Linatex squeegees work well with chemicals and do not swell like the gum rubber material. It’s excellent flexibility, and rip-resistant durability makes it perfect for uneven floor and oily environments. The urethane squeegees are chemical resistant and work well on industrial flooring like old warehouses with rough and uneven floors.
