Recently, TVH was honored as one of KC Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers (KCBJ). The Healthiest Employers Award honors KC-area businesses that make health and wellness a priority. To achieve this award, TVH was judged on our program’s emphasis on fitness and nutrition, along with financial and mental well-being. KCBJ aims to find companies that work with their employees to improve their health and create a well-rounded workforce.
The TVHNudge program was scored on culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis. As the Health and Wellness Coach, Lucy DelSarto’s work and dedication to bring in new speakers, focus on different topics, and get employees excited about their health has paid off in spades.
With over 1000 TVH employees, the Nudge program has an 81% participation rate, which Coach Lucy attributes to the diversity in activity options. If an employee is not inclined to participate in the athletic challenges, they can see the on-site chiropractor or attend one of the informative classes provided by the Nudge program. Coach Lucy said, “I want TVH to be a role model for the community of what a responsible company looks like. I believe our Nudge program is and should touch as many of our employees’ lives as possible.”
