Last June 25th, Mr. Matthieu Marisse, Chairman of the VCOD evaluation committee at VOKA, announced that TVH, the leading parts specialist for industrial off-road vehicles, earned the ‘VOKA Charter Duurzaam Ondernemen’ (VCDO).
It is the 15th consecutive year that TVH receives this official sustainability label.
TVH keeps deploying a comprehensive global strategy, with initiatives that demonstrate our commitment to safety, cybersecurity, the environment, and the well-being of our employees, thus setting a foundation for a secure, healthy, and sustainable future.
COMPREHENSIVE GLOBAL APPROACH TO SAFETY
We initiated a comprehensive global approach to safety, beginning with the execution of safety scans at our two largest sites. These help us identify potential risks and take targeted action.
In conjunction with this, we are establishing a monthly safety report to systematically track and enhance our safety measures.
Additionally, a global safety community will be formed to review these reports and share best practices. To further reinforce our commitment, we are setting up a global safety team responsible for coordinating on-the-ground actions and developing content for training and safety programs.
CYBERSECURITY
Following a hacking incident in 2023, we thoroughly revised our cybersecurity strategy and developed a comprehensive two-year roadmap. For 2024, we planned a robust cybersecurity program including phishing simulations and micro e-learnings for our employees, a Cyber Security Awareness Month in October, and an onboarding e-learning module focused on cybersecurity for new employees.
SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
The construction of the new warehouse, Plant T, is underway in accordance with the recognized BREEAM sustainability label, with all preparatory measures already completed.
Additionally, we have established a structural collaboration with Vanheede, including a permanent on-site employee in Waregem to optimize and reduce waste streams.
Furthermore, we are partnering with Natuurpunt and the municipality of Zwevegem for annual tree planting projects, with enthusiastic participation from our employees, as demonstrated in November 2023.
EMPLOYEES’ HEALTH & WELL-BEING
We remain dedicated to the health and well-being of all our employees through various ongoing initiatives.
We offer free health scans and fitness tests, actively promote participation in the Izegem quarter triathlon in May 2024, and provide continuous sports activities, such as yoga classes, boot camps, and running sessions. Additionally, during the Lignaverda Challenge in May 2024, 850 colleagues collectively covered 157,756 active kilometers, resulting in the planting of 75,000 trees in Senegal.
IN SUMMARY
With these initiatives, we keep contributing our part now for future generations, taking steps in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, and making our operations more sustainable.
