Ever wondered how batteries work? If you work with electric machines, or just want to learn more about lead-acid traction batteries and their chargers, then this course is for you. To get the most out of it, you should already have an understanding of AC/DC motors, or experience working with them. ‘Batteries and chargers’ is a 1-day course. At the end of the day, you’ll understand the operating principle of batteries and chargers, and you’ll be able to run diagnostic tests on them using a hydrometer and multimeter. You’ll also be able to match batteries to the right chargers, set them up correctly, and know how to install and calibrate a conventional charger. And last but not least, you will learn how to write up a battery report.
TARGET GROUP
- Engineers who work with electric machines.
- Engineers who want to acquire a decent knowledge of the functioning and maintenance of lead-acid traction batteries and their chargers.
