The mateco group was awarded the international title of ‘Access Rental Company of the year’ on 26 March 2015 in Washington. Mateco received this IAPA award thanks to the rising turnover figures and the considerable investments in the rental fleet, the network of branches and the safety training courses of the past year. Armin Rappen, mateco’s manager, and Pascal Vanhalst, CEO at TVH Parts Holding NV, accepted the prize on behalf of the more than 500 mateco-employees.

The ‘International Awards for Powered Access’, or IAPA awards, are the most important international prizes in the sector. They are distributed across 13 categories and are presented by a professional jury. The award is a special honouring for the mateco group which highlights the success of the company and the efforts of the last couple of years extra.

A successful year has passed
In the category ‘Access Rental Company of the Year‘ mateco was able to hold its ground against multiple international players in the access equipment sector. “The company has gone through an amazing year”, according to the jury. Witness the increasing turnover figures, the considerable investments in new aerial work platforms with higher capacities, the expansion of the branch network and the fact that mateco offered the ‘PlatformCard’ training about safety to more than 4000 people. According to Armin Rappen, manager at mateco, and Pascal Vanhalst, CEO at TVH Parts Holding NV, they also owe the title to the numerous customers who give mateco their trust and to the continuous efforts to optimise the service. In addition to this mateco follows a consistent growth strategy, consisting of the expansion of branches and various other investments. This policy led among other things to a rental fleet of less than 5 years old.

Worldwide network
The mateco group has been renting out aerial work platforms for more than 40 years. Their customer database includes building enterprises, facility management, the mobile sector, the media, garden and landscape architects … The rental fleet consists of more than 6000 aerial work platforms in over 700 different versions. With subsidiaries in Luxemburg and Poland and with 80 strong partners worldwide, mateco also deploys aerial work platforms outside of the German borders. Since 2012 the company has been a part of TVH. This allows it to fall back on a global network of more than 17 000 machines.
