11 June 2018

Thembisa, Thursday 7 June 2018. The Values Committee of TVH Parts South Africa organised another heart-warming initiative to practice the TVH Values soul, spirit, goal, group and power. For over a month, the complete staff of our Johannesburg branch has been bringing in teddy bears and toys, collecting everything in a large box at the reception. Everything was now donated to the underprivileged preschools Paradise Kids and Little Angels.

On Thursday 7 June, our Values Committee travelled down to Thembisa with dozens and dozens of gifts, determined to make this a happy, special day for the children of the kiddie day cares Paradise Kids and Little Angels. These preschools are run by volunteers who take care of the little ones during the day, while their parents go out looking for a job. As they do not receive any government grants and as they don’t charge the parents anything, it is admirable how these ladies feed and entertain the children out of their own pocket. Jacqueline Briel, who coordinates the charity projects, concludes: “We felt very humble, honoured and privileged to have been able to make a difference in the daycares. The children were grateful and happy with their new toys. We want to thank all of our colleagues for their donations, contributions and on-site help. Without them, this day would not have been possible. This is where we have our SOUL: the TVH family taking care of families out there that need help a little bit more than we do. It’s the SPIRIT of giving and happiness that constitutes our GROUP POWER!”
