TVH Supports the Local Boys & Girls Club
TVH has pledged a $15,000 donation to the launch of a school year Boys & Girls Club serving Olathe's youth. With an additional matching provision, this commitment from TVH could be increased by another $5,000 when TVH employees make individual donations which TVH will match on a dollar-for-dollar basis. TVH will match donations made by employees from all locations to their local Boys & Girls Clubs.
It is our hope that helping to launch the Olathe Club will not only be a great opportunity for our local youth, but also a great opportunity for our employees to get involved directly in the community through volunteering in support of the activities and education that goes on at the Club.

TVHCares Serves Meal at Center of Grace in Olathe, Kansas
There’s a little magic in a shared meal. From all the small steps in preparation to the conversations at the table, few things bring people together like food. TVH employees had the opportunity to create this little bit of magic recently for those in need.
On July 29, 2015, TVH employees in Olathe, Kansas volunteered to serve a meal at Center of Grace for residents of Olathe. Center of Grace’s mission is to reach out to the most vulnerable in the community through a variety of services. One of those services is providing a free meal twice a week, year round. Anyone in need is welcome to come and enjoy a hot meal at their table. Twice a week, approximately 275 meals are prepared and served. Last year, over 30,000 meals were provided to those in need in the Olathe community. TVH purchased the food for the meal, and employees prepared, served, and cleaned up afterwards.
Serving dinner to others was a meaningful experience as well as a good team building opportunity allowing employees from different departments to interact with and get to know each other. There were many positive comments received after the dinner, and employees were excited for future events to give back to the community.

Anderson was one of several students to receive the Howard Bernstein Material Handling Industrial Distribution Scholarship award this year. He is currently a senior at Oklahoma State University in Tulsa, OK where he is majoring in Industrial Engineering and Management.
While at TVH, Anderson toured the 600,000 square foot warehouse as well as met with various departments to learn more about the industry. "It's important that we support those students who are interested in pursuing a career in the material handling industry," said Pat McLaughlin, President, TVH. "It was a pleasure to meet Daniel, show him around our facility and to talk with him about our industry."
TVH is a proud sponsor of The Howard Bernstein Material Handling Industrial Distribution Scholarship. This scholarship was established in 2012 with the goal of attracting talented students to the material handling industry. Each year, this scholarship is awarded to students committed to studying the material handling, industrial distribution, engineering, logistics and supply chain curriculum.
