The TVHNudge program has recently provided employees with a variety of health and wellness opportunities.
TVH believes there is no better benefit it can offer its employees than by giving them the tools and support they need to live a healthier lifestyle. With that in mind, TVH implemented the TVHNudge program. This program encourages employees to look at their habits such as eating, sleeping and rest, activity, relationships and more. Throughout the year, TVHNudge provides classes, activities and information to help employees develop healthy habits in order to lead a healthy lifestyle both at work and at home.
Throughout the year employees are given opportunities to participate in informational seminars covering a wide range of topics such as nutrition, fitness training, stretching, meditation, muscle therapy, as well as offering quarterly walking challenges.
Our company hosts a variety of challenges throughout the year to provide a little motivation for employees to commit to a healthy lifestyle. It's also a great way to get co-workers involved in friendly competition, physical activity, and a common goal to earn Nudge Points. "TVH has great walking challenges. It motivates people to get up and get active. It also helps you to engage with you co-workers to help create better department relationships," said Susan Allman, TSS - OE Purchaser.
We have an on-site gym that offers a variety of weekly fitness classes such as yoga and pilates. From time to time, we bring in special fitness classes that are fun and physically challenging. Recently, TVHNudge hosted a special cardio workout class with an emphasis on kickboxing fitness training that was very popular with employees. "I loved the Nudge Kickboxing class. It was awesome to get up and move around, get your heart rate up and learn some new moves," said Shahla Fattaahi, Marketing and Advertising - Graphic Designer.
Each month TVHNudge brings in guest speakers to cover a wide range of health and wellness topics. "I enjoyed the class on essential oils. I learned a lot about the various oils and the things each oil helps with. I found it interesting that the four most used essential oils are: Lavender, Frankincense, Peppermint and Lemon (oils I use on a regular basis)," said Karen Finney, Claims Customer Support.
TVH is a worldwide leader in our industry. We recognize that health and wellness leads to optimal employee performance and the health of our staff ensures the health of our company.
