Olathe employees volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club on April 15th to celebrate Earth Day. The day kicked off making earth-friendly bird feeders, followed by a lesson on vegetable gardening from a master gardener. The children planted vegetables, pulled weeds and cleaned up the grounds. Over ten bags of compost and three bags of trash were collected. Other Earth Day activities included a recycle relay with special guest Gary Walker, the “King of Green,” and other outdoor games.
This volunteer opportunity was made possible through TVHCares, a charitable program that encourages TVH employees to get involved and make an impact in the local community. Through the program, employees have the opportunity to work with many non-profit organizations and charities. Since its inception in 2015, over 125 employees from across the Americas have volunteered at local nonprofits in their area.
