TVH co-hosts the fourth annual Tour de Fork fundraising event. This unique event was held on September 23, 2021, and featured live chef demonstrations, a silent auction, and a live auction. All proceeds were donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Olathe.
This 210 person event was attended by benefactors of the Club and supporting organizations within the community. Guests were able to enjoy food from food trucks and a cocktail hour, then they were treated to live chef demonstrations. Cody Hogan, the executive chef at Lidia's, put on quite the performance. Lidia's is a local upscale Kansas City restaurant serving Northern Italian cuisine. Cody has been working and leading the kitchen for more than two decades. Kristin Brumm, baker/owner, of the Pie Goddess, did the other live chef demonstration. The Pie Goddess is a home-based bakery offering custom-designed pies and other baked goods to the Kansas City metro area. Baked goods are made to order and available for pick-up in Olathe, Kansas.
Tour de Fork continues to generate much-needed funds for the club through silent, super silent, and live auctions. Guests bid on items ranging from gift cards to signed sports memorabilia and even fun trips. Overall, the event raised over $170,500 net for the Olathe Chapter. Over the past four years, we've helped them raise over $622,800. The funds have been used for an assortment of improvements such as facility updates, new gear for the gym, supplies for the classrooms as well as many other items to benefit the kids at the Club.
