Twenty employees of parts specialist TVH have been taking the Digital Business Analyst course since 26 September. To this end, the company is collaborating with the Vives Business School in Bruges. This postgraduate degree - with a focus on digital transformation and exclusively for TVH employees - is offered by TVH. What makes this officially recognised course special, is that TVH itself - in close cooperation with Vives - helped determine the content.
The Waregem-based company is in need of digital profiles. Joeri De Waele, Chief Customer Experience Officer: "As many as 80% of our customers order our parts online, which makes it paramount for TVH to continue optimising our digital customer experience. That is why we are looking for suitable profiles in the labour market. There is also a lot of talent internally, but we still need to focus more on the digital mindset. For this reason, we offer our collaborators the opportunity to retrain into true digital experts. After this one-year training, tailored to TVH, they will help pull further digitalisation in their department. This will ensure even better cross-pollination between departments."
Nele Verschuere, Field Marketing Specialist at TVH, is one of the twenty colleagues who will start the course: "As a marketeer, I feel digital knowledge is crucial in my role. I certainly applaud TVH's full-throated commitment to digital transformation. With this course, I will become an advocate of digital transformation in my team. I am therefore very much looking forward to obtaining the certificate of this postgraduate degree and am happy that TVH is giving me this opportunity."
Peter Geiregat, Chief People officer concurs: "We like to invest in our collaborators to take them to the next level. Now we are shifting up another gear with digital transformation. Of course, we also look for external profiles, as there are 250 vacancies online, but by focusing on upskilling our own staff, we keep the experience in the company. They also stay in their current jobs during their training and combine that for a full academic year with classes on Mondays. Enrolled colleagues take half of the classes after working hours. The fact that they are willing to make this time investment is proof that they are really motivated."
