About SPAL
SPAL designs and manufactures a range of high-performance axial fans and centrifugal blowers for engine, oil and battery cooling.
Founded in 1959 by Terzino Spaggiari and Alberto Alberti near Parma in Italy, the company hit the ground running in a period of solid growth and expansion of the plastic moulding industry. In 1970, SPAL started expanding its production, particularly manufacturing electric fans for the automotive industry. In 1980, SPAL moved to new office buildings, thanks in part to its ever-increasing investment in R&D. In 2000, SPAL started to expand internationally with several subsidiaries in China, USA, Brazil, India, the UK, Japan etc. 2010 was an important year as the company started producing brushless products. Today, SPAL is a frontrunner in brushless motor technology.
