We would like to update you on the significant progress made in recent months on the construction of our new UK warehouse, which will have a surface of 130,000 ft² (12,000 m²) and the possibility to expand in the future to 185,000 ft² (17,000 m²) to support our growth ambitions for Bepco and TVH in the UK.
The new Kidderminster building will be our joint TVH and Bepco warehouse centralising our UK operations.
Since our last communication on the development, construction has moved forward at a rapid pace with the laying of the interior floor over the summer and installation in the last few months of the racking and mezzanine floors.
Currently, the installation of the internal racking and fittings is in its final stage and, when completed, will hold a two-story mezzanine with a total surface of 68,000 ft² (6,300 m²) and 20,000m of long span shelving containing more than 120,000 product locations.
At ground level, we will have over 15,000 pallet-places in high bay racking enabling us to stock all fast-moving parts and the majority of our parts requirement for UK customers. This will give our customers the important benefits of later cut-off times for placing orders, which is increasingly critical in both agricultural and industrial businesses, faster delivery times and an even better local service.
We’ll keep you posted on the progress.
