Dear customer,
just like us, you are probably wondering what effect a possible 'hard Brexit' will have on your business. I wish we knew what the final outcome of the political process will be. Unfortunately, we still appear to be at stalemate with less than 40 days before Brexit is due to happen.
However, as a business we no longer step back whilst a final decision on Brexit is made. We have been actively preparing for some time for the worst case scenario which is "Brexit no deal". What we can tell you at the moment is, our strategy will allow for the continuance of our next day delivery service to all locations/postal codes that currently already benefit from this service. However a possible earlier cut off time may apply.
I am also aware that many of you have received a letter from HMRC telling you to register for an EORI number, appoint an import export agent and to contact the organisation that moves your goods to discuss security declarations. I can now confirm that this will not be a requirement for any of your TVH purchases. In the event of 'no deal', TVH UK will act as importer of record for all parts ordered from TVH. You, our customer, will not have to take any of these actions. This will require a change in invoicing procedure and the invoice for all TVH sales will come from TVH UK.
Of course there are still issues to be resolved depending on what a final Brexit deal looks like but we can confirm that we have all possible contingencies planned for and will be swift to react when any discussions on Brexit are complete.
We will of course continue to keep you informed on future developments,
Your sincerely,
Stephen Smallbone
