Waregem, 25/01/2024 - TVH, the specialist in parts for forklifts, industrial vehicles, construction and agricultural machinery, continues to grow and invests in a new distribution centre for its logistics department. The West Flemish multinational will expand by an additional 50 000 m², making the 30-metre-high distribution centre TVH's largest. The aim is to put it into service starting 2026. This expansion once again confirms the company's firm establishment in Waregem.
The strategic expansion is intended primarily to accommodate the growing volume of orders and deliveries. For instance, the number of parcels sent on a daily basis tripled from 8000 in 2016 to 27 000 in 2023.
CEO Dominiek Valcke emphasises the importance of this step: "With this increase in logistics capacity, we want to respond to current needs on the one hand and further prepare ourselves for growing demand on the other. Today, we are very successful in shipping parts to 180 countries from Flanders. Expanding locally to further scale up those processes was therefore a logical move."
TVH aims to put the new premises into use from 2026 on. It can also be further developed later with additional automation. A bridge across the road will connect TVH's two main logistics distribution centres in Waregem.
Importance of sustainability
Like the main building, 'The Hub', Plant T will be built using sustainable techniques. Also with this project, TVH aims to be among the best in the European class in terms of sustainability standards.
