At the official award ceremony of the very first Employee Engagement Awards on Monday evening, TVH - global player in the field of lift trucks and industrial vehicles, and parts for those machines - won silver in the category large companies (+1000 employees). With these awards, employee engagement specialist Herculean Alliance recognises the efforts of Belgian companies around employee engagement.
Twelve expert judges and twelve youth judges assessed the submitted cases on the basis of four criteria (context, goals, means, results) and three dimensions (progression, strategy/vision, originality/effectiveness).
TVH Nudge and We Are One
In its case, TVH focused on various actions. Central to this were the health policy TVH Nudge and the TVH corporate culture known as We Are One. "With TVH Nudge, we give employees a healthy boost, for example through sports lessons, healthy food, relaxation areas, a green zone where people can take a break ...", Isabelle Van de Voorde, Corporate Marketing & Communications Manager at TVH, explains. "We Are One focuses on togetherness, for example with actions around our values or the election of an employee in the spotlight."
Engagement in corona times
Another part of the TVH case was the multi-faceted communication to reach a diverse internal audience. TVH's internal engagement survey was also highlighted. Isabelle Van de Voorde: "With the corona crisis, it is even more important to keep a finger on the pulse. That too was part of our case: we occasionally send a short survey to find out how our employees are doing in these times. Based on the results, we adjust where necessary with extra information, tips or tools."
Most attractive employer
It is obvious that TVH invests in employee involvement. And the company is proud of the recognition it receives: "This Silver Award confirms that we are doing well. Actually, it is not the first time this year that we have received praise; earlier this year we managed to get a spot on Randstad's list of most attractive employers. In any case, we continue on the same path. There is no shortage of ideas for the future."
A coverage on Kanaal Z looks back on the course of the Employee Engagement Awards. Among other things, it shows how finalists brought their live pitch to the jury. The story will be broadcast several times from 29 September to 2 October.
