PARTS SPECIALIST TVH AGAIN AWARDED FOR SUSTAINABILITY

TVH was awarded the Voka Charter for Corporate Sustainability for the thirteenth year in a row. TVH is a global player in the field of parts and accessories for lift trucks, industrial vehicles, construction and agricultural machinery. "Sustainability has been part of our strategy since 2021 and we want to make it even more of a focus point", says Frederik Hanssens, SHE Manager at TVH.

The Voka sustainability label is based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (or SDGs) of the United Nations. For each goal, actions and concrete results must be presented. "TVH works on those actions all year round", Frederik says. "During the last audit, we received the highest praise for our recycling efforts, ergonomics for employees, and the expansion of our fleet and infrastructure for electric vehicles."

INTERNATIONALISATION

In addition, TVH is also working on the further internationalisation of its sustainability efforts. For example, there is monthly coordination with the foreign branches. "It is a strong network for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement", says Anton Theunynck, Global Sustainability Manager at TVH. "In this way, we take sustainability to the next level together. This also fits in perfectly with our 'We Are One' approach."

THE ROAD TO SDG CHAMPION

Thanks to the Voka Charter, TVH may again call itself UNITAR SDG Pioneer for three years. However, TVH aims higher. Anton: "In September, an evaluation will be made whether we will continue to the next level of SDG Champion. To this end, we focus on quantifiable results and specific actions based on a recent stakeholder assessment. Stay tuned!”
